Crown Wins UK Packaging Award for Hourglass Shaped Can

(NYSE: CCK) (Crown), has won the 2006 UK Packaging Award in the Metal Packaging Category for the distinctive Waistline® low-calorie foods can. The hourglass shaped can, specially developed for Crosse & Blackwell, one of Premier Foods' leading canned food brands, also received a "Highly Commended" rating in the Technical Innovation Category. Crown and other recipients were honored at an awards ceremony held on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

The uniquely shaped package visually reinforces the healthy living theme of the Waistline® brand, which was launched to meet demand from consumers for more nutritious meal options. The three-piece cans include an EOLE III™ steel easy-open end for greater convenience and decorative shrink sleeving for outstanding shelf appearance.
