Let’s Celebrate Manufacturing Day!

Since 2012, Manufacturing Day has been an opportunity to celebrate modern manufacturing in the United States. Occurring on the first Friday in October each year, Manufacturing Day is meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers across the country and underscore the economic and social impact that the industry makes.

At Crown, we’re proud that our innovation touches the lives of billions of people around the world every single day. We take that role seriously, and remain committed to delivering innovation that meets the needs of brand owners and consumers from both a usability and sustainability perspective. We are also firm believers in being a good corporate citizen and neighbor in the communities where we work and live.

Here’s a fun fact: Crown produces more than 120 billion cans and closures per year globally. So, on Manufacturing Day 2017 alone, we will produce over 300 million cans and closures, or roughly over 100,000 cans and closures every 30 seconds. That is about the same amount of time it might take you to read this post.
