Crown remains devoted to helping U.S. veterans integrate back into the civilian workforce once their service to the country has been completed.
The Company has hired its 150th U.S. veteran through its military hiring program, which focuses on evaluating candidates with skill sets developed during service that are transferrable to the workplace. One veteran that was employed through Crown’s military program is Human Resources Manager Juan Medrano. Joining the Company in June of 2015, Medrano stated, “Crown has opened doors for me and other veterans and has kept its word when it comes to supporting military veterans joining the workforce.”
Crown has also achieved Military Friendly® status for 2017. Companies earn this distinction by meeting or exceeding benchmarks for recruitment, retention, advancement, support and job placement of veterans.
In addition, Crown remains an active member of The Veterans Job Mission, a coalition made up of 200 member companies founded in 2011 to address veteran unemployment. Today, the coalition is focused on reaching its goal of employing one million veterans by 2020.
