Celebrating the Workforce of Tomorrow: National Intern Day 2019

From peelable food can ends to temperature-sensitive beverage can inks, the packaging designs and technologies that disrupt the market and build brand differentiation for our customers come straight from the minds of our employees. As such, we place tremendous importance on fresh ideas and student engagement, as we know today’s young workforce will shape the advancements of tomorrow. 

That is why we are celebrating National Intern Day in the U.S. today, July 25. Many members of our family started their careers at Crown as interns, bringing their inventive thinking and new perspectives to fuel major industry innovation. With a “promote from within” philosophy, we look to graduating interns to fill full-time opportunities and continue to support new employees with opportunities for personal and professional growth. In fact, Crown has some employees who have been with us for over 50 years!

We currently offer intern and cooperative education opportunities across the company in several disciplines, but the main focus on the 2019 Summer Internship Program has been in Operations, Engineering, Quality and Production Planning.
